When I am uploading my model to this web site some of them keep the same name and others add a date to them. Is there an option for use to select which method is used to name the models when we upload?
Example:
Two models uploaded but assigned names differently.
My model name is Model18 > It uploaded it with the name: Model18
My model name is Model17 > It uploaded it with the name: model7_2014-01-23.ini
Example:
Two models uploaded but assigned names differently.
My model name is Model18 > It uploaded it with the name: Model18
My model name is Model17 > It uploaded it with the name: model7_2014-01-23.ini

I don't think so. kunena adds the date if there is already a file of that name in some other post (because we keep all the files in one dir on the server). I'm not aware of any method of changing it, though FDR may comment.

Yep, it works that way.
Upload folders are by user, and if he already has a that filenam, Kunena will add the date to the end...

My 2c, I like the date idea, gives a bit of version history.
