Heli crash with Deviation 3.0.0 on Devo 10 was created by Rollmops67
I have a Devo 10 with Deviation 3.0.0 installed.
I have allready 2 walkera models programed, and with those I had more than 300 flights without a single Transmitter problem.
2 weeks ago I added a new model, a T-Rex 550.
I did program it from scratch, taking the 6 channels heli template as a basis.
All went well, and the heli flew fine.
Today, at it's eighth flight, suddenly the heli "stopped" mid air, and fell like a brick.
Luckily it was in a field, and these days because of the rain the earth is very wet (>> soft) so the "only" damages are 2 cracked blades, a cracked canopy, and a maybe slightly bent feathering shaft. Well, nevertheless a 140 $ bill... :(

Looking at the transmitter after the crash (I didn't stop it), it showed the message "Ch3 is 55% safe value = - 100%"
That's the safety message showing when you turn on your Tx without the throttle stick fully down.
This means the Tx stopped and started while flying  , waiting me to put the throttle down to start sending to the Rx again.
Throttle failsafe was set to -100, at least I have the consolation this worked...

Knowing my batteries went charged (9,7 volts at the moment of the incident) there are 2 possibilities :

1) I had a brownout (short loss of power)
2) Deviation crashed and started the Tx again. (reboot ?)

Like said before I have more than 300 flights without problems with the TX so I doubt it was a brownout.
There is a difference in the new model file for the T-rex with the Walkera ones : with the T-Rex the swash mixing is done in the Tx (in the Rx for the Walkeras), therefore I think the Tx has lots more to "calculate".

So my thoughts are it could have been Deviation crashing.
Am I alone with my problem ?

To prevent it to occur again, I deleted the [safety] section in the model.ini file, so the Tx can start even with throttle different than -100.
Not a problem, I always start my Tx with throttle hold and the heli has a soft start

P.S.
Found an errors.txt file in the Tx, but I don't know if it is from today :

Yes FDR, think I will do.
I just didn't until today because I was happy with V 3.0.0, but this is less true since today...

Thanks for the answer
