Deviation software errors txt was created by FireAngel
Hi, I'm trying to pin down a fault, I'm not sure if it's a software or hardware problem.

I've lost control of my quads throttle twice this week where it just accelerates for 5 or 6 seconds at maximum throttle then shuts down. Reducing the throttle or using the kill switch has no effect.

Can some one please tell me what this error.txt message means,

It appears to have crashed while reading font info from the flash drive. The errors.txt would only be generated on a Tx reset, so it should be obvious when it was generated. You didn't mention that though, so the crash may be entirely unrelated.

Hi PhracturedBlue thanks for the reply.

I did not notice a Tx reset either time.

Is the "crash while reading font info from the flash drive" something I would have likely caused ?

To try and simulate a reset I have just tried turning off the Tx power while the quad was at half throttle(secured) and it just powered down.

As this is a intermittent fault I am now flying with both a modded and stock transmitter, if it happens again while using the stock Tx at least i'll know the fault is with the quad.

Had a problem again today, quickly looked at the screen to see if it was rebooting but could not tell.

Took this picture of the screen.

Can you think what could be causing this or what I could try to fix it ??

Thanks

Does that go away when you reboot or not?
It definitely looks like some sort of font corruption, but I have never seen that with 4.0.1.
One thing you should do is to open errors.txt in a text editor and delete all lines then save it (don't delete the file). Then if Deviation crashes, it will fill in the errors.txt and you'll have a better idea when it happened.

Are you using Deviation in English?

Hi PB,

Since the last occurrence a few weeks ago I've had 40+ flights without a problem.

I used Notepad++ to delete all lines, there was nothing wrote in the error file this time.

Yes,I am using Deviation in English.

When I power off/On it reverts back to normal and works fine.
