Throttle percentage based timer setting. was created by mguvercin
Hi to all :)

I am really new into Devo and deviation, I am in the read and learn phase :)
Now I have a devo 8s with deviation v4.0.1.
My question is very simple and i think the answer shoul be simple however i could not find the answer yet in this forum.
I want to have a timer which should start -for example- after I exceed the 30% of throttle.

I read already that I should choose ch3 as switch but how can i arrange the percentage?

It would be very appreciated if someone post the solution step by step from the beginning :)

Thank you.

You can only do this when using the 'Advanced' GUI.

Select the mixer for 'Virt1'
Set the source to 'THR'
Set the Curve to 'Min/Max'
Select the curve and set the curve value to -40 (We use -40 because the range is -100 to 100, so (-40 - (-100)) / 200 = 30%
save the curve and goto the timer page. select 'Virt1' as the switch.
Now whe your throttle is above 30% the timer will start counting.

don't forget to add one more page in the Virt1 mixer should you use Throttle Hold safety or else your timer will be started by the TH stick even when your Throttle is being held up ..

you could also use the output channel as the source for Virt1 (i.e. if Channel3 is the throttle, then set the source to Ch3 on Virt1). I chose not to do that above because it was easier to describe, but it would probably be a better option.

Dear cmpang,

Thank you very much for your quick reply :)
I am not sure if i am using advanced or simple gui. I just dowloaded the v4.0.1 and followed the steps. In the settings menu i can not see any option regarding simple or advanced.

With the menu i have, i can create mixer for virt1 the options are simple, expo/dr and complex.
I did what you told in all . I chose the THR as "scr" ( left the scale and offset as "0"), choose the curve Min/Max, click on the curve and set the value "-40". And also did the same as "ch3 " as "scr".

Then went to timer menu and set the switch as Virt1, left the reset as none.

Still the timer starts itself even i am not touching anything. As soon as i push the "ext" button it resets and starts again.

What can br the problem?

Thank you.

turn on USB mode and copy your model.ini file, and attach it to this thread. I'll take a look at it and tell you what is wrong. your steps sound like they should have worked.

On virtchan1 set the scalar to 100. Otherwise everything looks fine.
