Wondering are we in the USA allowed to use the 150mv setting? Oh boy and now would like to know what the uw settings are for?

should be fine. The FCC limits output power to 30dBm. None of the transmitters we have will put out anything over 22dBm. (There is a rule about derating power with higher gain antenna, but even here, it should be ok).
Note that these chips are very inefficient at 150mW. They will get warm and significantly increase battery usage. Unless you really need the range, I don't recommend using it.

Thanks PB when I get ready I will use a cheap foamy and test it set lower like I have seen others do. The farthest I go is with my gliders.
