Hello

so at long last I soldered this module into my 8s module and firstly had the normal 4.01 build and it all seemed to be working fine i.e. was able to bind and work my helimax 100ssl with SLT protocol.

but,, I have v977's i wish to fly as well so updated to the nightly build and no nrf module to be found. no SLT or KN protocol.

checked soldering points and voltages and all ok with normal dviation build but as soon as I swap, theres no voltages coming from the devo 8s module.

my hardware .ini as follows

;Only useful for transmitters with an after-market vibration motor
;enable-haptic=1
;
;switch_types: 3x2, 3x1, 2x2
;extra-switches=
;
[modules]
; there is no need to enable the cyrf6936 module unless
; it is wired to an alternate port. It is Enabled automatically otherwise
; enable-cyrf6936 = B12
; has_pa-cyrf6936 = 1
; enable-a7105 = A13
; has_pa-a7105 = 1
; enable-cc2500 = A14
; has_pa-cc2500 = 1
; enable-nrf24l01 = A14
; has_pa-nrf24l01 = 1
; enable-multimod = A13

is there a 'new' way of wiring. I followed steps from you tube clip
wiring done

Help will be aprreciated, thanks in advance.

You have to uncomment the enable_nrf24l01 line in hardware.ini, and possibly the one for has_pa as well. In 4.0.1, it's in tx.ini, and you presumably did that when you installed the module. It moved to hardware.ini in the nightlies, so you'll need to enable it there now. Using the same lines you did in tx.ini should work.

There may also be some wiring differences. Check the module list for your module. Doesn't look like it, but I've only installed the nrf24l01 on the multimodule.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

My remotely piloted vehicle ("drone") is a yacht.

@mwm - Thanks for the response. I will reload the nightly build now and check that hardware.ini. I did notice it not changing once I turn the fresh install on and off again, unlike the 4.0.1 build where it changes once you've turned it on for the first time.

-When you say uncomment the line, do you mean delete the whole line or type in 'none' and '0'? ...sorry newbie here.

I also rechecked the module list you provided and the wiring on my nrf matches.

Sweet :cheer: :cheer: !! I worked it out with your help, Thankyou.

So I had to delete the ";" infront of the nrf line and leave the rest alone. I also deleted the ";" infront of enable multimode
all appears thus far to be working i.e. theres no * infront of protocol names in the tx.

Hopefully no more issues :P
