Syma X5C - 1 for Devo 7e was created by jjw_d7e
I've been searching these forums trying to find a model file for the X5C - 1 and although finding some threads I've ether missed it and/or I don't understand what was being talked about
Anyhow I've found an icon for the x5c-1 by Durete, thankyou and can only think that there is a model file somewhere out there but I cannot find it. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most greatfull.
Jerry.

This is my model file for the X11C (same protocol and with camera).
I think you only need to change the name, and the icon file.
FMOD0. Low rates, and limited to 90% with Expo. (for slow flying capturing video)
FMOD1. High rates.
HOLD1. Flip Mode on.
Throttle trim down. Start/stop video.
Throttle trim down. Take picture.
Enjoy it!!!

Just can't get this to bind. My Syma is the "New updated version" X5C-1, will that make a difference?

Do you have an nRF24L01+ module in your 7e? The + part is required for this protocol to work due to the 500kbps data rate.
What's the behavior on the tx?

This is the module thats installed.
2.4G NRF24L01 PA LNA Wireless Module 16*32mm (from Banggood)
No + on the description, so that could be my problem.
Just refuses to bind, just sits there with the dialogue box "binding to X5C-1".
My JJRC H8C which uses the same module binds fine as does my Hubsan X4s using the A7105 module.
If then this NRF module is the problem and I changed it to the + module would it have an effect on my JJRC H8C?

Yes, the module with the nRF24L01+ will fly the X5C-1. The first module shown has a PA (the second chip), so you would have less range with the module in the second pic. Modules with nRF24L01+ and PA are available.
Not sure about the pinout. Likely the same but best to check.

The first module is the right one. Has a "+" chip on board.
Btw, the pinout of these 8pin modules are nearly "standart".

Sorry aMax, are you saying the module that I've already got installed with the PA and LNA is the right one or the one with the built in antenna?

That first module from banggood is a nrf24L01+. It is stamped on the chip.

How is the LCD at your stock X5C transmitter?
Does it have a Quad or an Heli at the LCD when you turn on?
IMHO, your nRF24L01 module is ok, it's the same I have installed and I can fly my X5C (old version), X11 and X11C without any trouble.
What Deviation version do you have installed?

My stock conroller shows a small Quad (top, center)
I'm still wondering is it because my X5 is the new version, I belive the camara function button on the controller has changed from the older one.
I also read on here somewhere that the new ones use a different protocol than the old ones but alot of the details went waaaaaaay over my head.

Yes , you are right about all the information, but actually both protocols have been hacked (by Hexfet
) and included into DeviationTx.
The most important question...
What version do you have installed at your Devo 7E?
You need one of the latest version of Deviation Tx team, better the last build from Hexfet at the Syma X11 protocol thread.

I have this Nightly Build installed from the download section.
deviation-devo7e-v4.0.1-92e1705.zip
I'll look for the other in the X11 protocol thead.

We found the problem
These build don't have the Syma X5C-1, X11, X12 protocol
Install the latest build from Hexfet at the Syma X11 protocol thread.

Ok. Ihave a zip file, devation-devo7e-v4.0.1-9b271fc.zip
And when opened I have a .dfu file plus a protocol folder.
Just so I don't cock it up I take it I install the .dfu file with the defuse application and copy and paste the protocol folder over the original folder in the devo's drive.
(I'm still on a learning curve here)
