transfering new templates from laptop onto the Tx

Hi folks, I am sure that I am being quite thick in asking this question but here goes anyway!!
I want to fly a plane which needs elevon mixing, I have clicked on links found in these forums, copied them into a new file on the laptop and saved them, now I have tried to copy and paste these files into the template folder via USB to my Tx but when I go into the template folder on the Tx non of the transferred templates are there, I am obviously missing something out but I am very very new to this sort of thing and need all the help I can get!!

I should say that when I connect with the USB and go into the template folder I can see the one I transferred onto the TX but it doesn't show up when I go into the template section on the Tx, what do I need to do to be able to choose the new template on the Tx?!
