little power on a hubsan X4 was created by christx
here's my problem:
i use a devo 7E to fly with a hubsan wich is 2 years old.
There is little power on the motors so the model stays at little altitude.
When i use the original tx there is more power but compared to
original performance it's still weak.
Batteries seem ok (i use them with my devo 7e and a mini cp walkera and it's ok)
Any advice is welcome
Christophe

The power should be identical, but you need to use a throttle curve to get a similar response to the original transmitter. I use a 5-point curve with values -100, -10, 55, 75, 100. This gives a very nice stable response - you may want to increase the fourth setting from 75 to 80 or more for more acrobatic flight.

Hi,

When you say "When i use the original tx there is more power but compared to
original performance it's still weak.", what do you mean by "weak"? Does the quad get off the ground at all, more than an inch?

If it doesn't then it'may be one (or more) bad motors. I had a problem with one of my X4s the other day where it'd just kind of hop around, never getting off the group more than, say, an inch. I was working on it (took the bottom body off) and checking voltages off and while I did that, noticed one of the motors was stalling once in awhile. I changed that motor, and then quad has been good since then.

thanks for giving me the file.
I downloaded it on my devo and the behavior is still the same.
So now i know the problem comes from the motors.
thanks again

I'm sorry it didn't solve your problem. It could be that one or more motors are worn out, but the batteries are also a possible culprit. The fact that they work with the Mini CP doesn't necessarily mean they will work with the Hubsan, which may draw a higher current. I hope you can figure it out!
