First time user!! Simple question :) was created by syncronized77
Hey guys,

First time Devo Deviation user! I Got a Devo 7e that was already preloaded with Deviation 4.0.1 (nightly build?) and the only model of the 30 present was a Mustang plane but there wasn't anything else in any of the 29 models available....

If I'd like to fly my WK2402 CB100s and other older Walkera birds with my TX, do I have to reflash Deviation? Or do I have to create model files on my own?

Thanks in advance!

you have to create the model-files.

Have a look here:
deviationtx.com/forum/how-to
You may even find already prepared model.ini files here:
deviationtx.com/forum/model-configs

... And don't forget, that they have to be named
model1.ini
model2.ini
in consecutive order without gaps.

There is also a UserManual available.
deviationtx.com/downloads-new
For Devo7e Deviation10UserManual is the right one.

DeviationTX supports both in model setup protocol section.

DeVo
WK

For helis you can use the simple UI.
For acro (planes) you will have to jump into the advanced UI. May take a while to get started. Its not a Spektrum UI but much more powerful.

You can choose templates on an empty model too (basic D/R, 4CH, etc.).

Even for my 3 DR/Expo setup on two elev/ail switches - use my own (complex) mixers.
Probably you will not need to reflash the firmware.

Latest stable is 4.0.1.

Also check the BUILD thread for devo 7e and different compile options / activated features (hardware / ram limitations).
