The Deviation Firmware Manual for the DEVO 7E & 10 links directly to Walkera for the DfuSe USB Tool download and it downloads v2.0
I found a download from the German's Walkera-Fans website that is v2.31 Not sure if it is allowed to be linked here, or not, so I won't until a Moderator or the Admin says it's OK to do so.
I am brand new to Deviationtx, so I don't want to screw this up. So, these questions go out to any more experienced members here:
1. Which one would you install?
2. Does it really matter which version gets used?
3. I am running Windows 8.1, and have read that some are having trouble with 8.1 and having to run on an XP box to get it done. Will v2.31 eliminate this problem?

The display contrast was kind of low when I first fired up after deviation was complete, so upped the contrast and backlight values so I could see things a little better. Surfed the menus a bit and calibrated the sticks.
Yay!!! First step is done. Now I need to get the modules that I want to install and go to work with the soldering iron after I read up on it a little more and decide how to go about it.

just received my Devo 10 today. I wish to flash the firmware but I saw that the manual recommends to take v2.0 while Dfuse USB Upgrade Tools 2.31.zip is available.
Do I use the last version ?
The manual says "Normally you should use the latest one." It's the normally that worries me, I wouldn't want to be the exception...
Thanks a lot
Cheers

You also can use the Deviation Uploader Utility, instead of using the Walkera DfuSe tool.
There are instructions on how to use both of these in the User Manuals that are under the Main Menu column at the left.
I plan on using the Deviation Uploader next time that I need to flash my DEVO 10.

Get the driver installer that PB wrote some time ago for both Walker's Dfuse tool and the Deviation Uploader app from this location:

I recommend using the Uploader as well, rather than the Dfuse. Can be used for any version of Deviation as well as Walkera's firmware if you need to fall back for any reason.
Not sure about Win 10, but worth a shot. Report back with your results, please.

That thread contains step-by-step guidance I provided to another user recently. He's using a Devo 12, but those steps are fine for all Devos.
