Range Devo 7E and Devo 10 was created by saidem
I would like to fly a glider with Devo 7E whose diode change was made. Will it have the same range as a 10 Devo?

In fact I was wondering because Devo 10 has a much larger antenna than 7E Devo?

The antenna is not bad at all, only can not be bent and turned to a more suitable direction for emission.
I always point to the ground or hold the TX sideways at long range.

In fact I took the antenna of its housing and I put it horizontally inside the TX.

Then you are on the right track....
What about modding the 7e with a socket and a RG178 cable? Got my set from a chinese trader for 3$.

I have the original the module (CYRF6936), its antenna is directly soldered on the module and at the end of the antenna there is a BODA. So I think it is not easy to replace it? Anyway if the range is the same, it's not worth doing it.
