I was wondering what's the easiest way to assign channel 5 to the gear switch on the devo 10?
I am using the Naze32 for my quad and I want to flip between arco and auto level...
I just used one of the existing models files and I just want to alter that.

I'm a newbie with both the naze32 and tx so I'm not 100% sure.
Thanks for any help :)

Set the mixer type of Ch5 to simple mixer, and select the GEAR1 as the source...

Do I have to be in advanced GUI to access that?
I'm just not exactly sure where to access that.
When I said newbie I really meant newbie.... Sorry

I just went and changed to advanced GUI, went back to the model menu, went to mixers and scroll down to channel 5. I wasn't given the option based on what you said....
This was my view

You were on the right track at your image 2.
Navigate to the <None> field, and change it to <Simple>.
Then additional filds will appear, four example the source field, which is probably named as "Src".
Change it's value to GEAR1, save it with the upper button, and you are done.

I find that the deviation manual is very tricky, especially to somebody new like me who doesn't have a lot of technical knowledge on programming .

Is there a manual out there that is written in more plain speech? I tried to search for this answer online before I came here and asked anyone. There could very well be such a manual or a place where everything is centrally located but I couldn't find it.
Your explanation on how to do what I did was very easy to understand Haha.
Thanks again for briefly holding my hand through this step.

I wrote a tutorial on writing a model config . It would have covered this issue. Walks you through configuring a model from scratch, in great detail. Might be what you're looking for..

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Sweet! Thanks!
I would be very interested. I hate not being able to use the things I own properly.
