Hi.

I've modded my Devo 7e with the nrf24l01 module and soldering went well.
After that i flashed the deviaton 4.0.1 and copied the files to the Devo 7e flash drive.
The Devo 7e boots normally, deviation 4.01 logo and no reboots or error messages.
When go to model setup, and try to load a file nothing shows up, it only show mode 1 and none while i copied al the protocols to the protocol directory.
Has this something to do with my nrf24l01 module or am i doing something wrong.
Tried the stock deviation firmware, nightly builds, combinations of firmwares but nothing seems to work.

Can someone please help what to do ?

Did you enable the module in the hardware.ini file (on the root of the Devo's filesystem) ?

enable-nrf24l01 = A14
has_pa-nrf24l01 = 1

You have to remove the semicolons in front of the lines.

After getting the firmware in to your devo, the model list is still empty. You have to copy the model.ini files later. Or make them your self.
If you want to copy model.ini files you can find them here on the forum, download them to your computer and then copy them to your transmitter in the models directory, by replacing the existing model1.ini, model2.ini , etc.... Do not give them another name.

If you want to fly the syma quad, then you have to load the latest nightly firmware.

First of all sorry i forgot to quote you guys.
Do you mean the latest nightly on the deviation website ? June 2015
I also mentioned the 4.0.1 deviation firmware doesn't contain the symax protocol, and also saw when someone posts a list of custom protocols they include a new firmware.
Do i have tot upgrade to the included firmware tot use that protocols ?

Power on the tx.
Push the ENT button,
goto Transmitter menu,
goto Transmitter config,
there you see the button Calibrate,
Push Calibrate and follow the instructions on the screen.

Good luck and have fun flying
