Devo 7e and Storm S603 was created by T.N.
I have created a simple DSMX profle trying to bind the Devo 7e with S603 RX.
Pressing Bind, the Devo starts the binding process "Binding.. Press ENT to stop" and counting down, but when it gets to "0 seconds left" it just stays there without completing the binding, unless I press the ENT button.
Any idea?

Did you use the bind plug the right way? Does the rx bind?
My S603 did it in a second with a copied fixed ID...( the same as for my R615X)
Edit:
How many channels did you set at the ini? Although this rx even binds if set to 8 channels thereafter, you better limit it to 7 or 6.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

This is actually designed behavior, as some of the DSM Rx's set failsafe based on the channel values at bind completion. So it gets connects and set up for the bind at 0. Then you set the controls to the failsafe positions and press enter to complete the bind and set the failsafes.
If your Rx doesn't do that, just ignore it and hit ENT.

Thanks guys.
It's set for 6 channels. Will test again when I return home next week.

I have set the S603 to 6 channels. Hook it up with a KK2.1.5 FC. Devo 7e binds and works beautifully.

Please report if you have any dropouts with this rx ( failsafe at different ranges for very short periods )
Thanks.
Thanks.

Sorry for my very late reply.
Yes, dropout for very short period experienced regularly in around 20-30% throttle range. And few times at >50% throttle range, that's when I lost control of my quad when it was too high and too far... and it plunged into the distant river...
Edit: The configuration was MultiWii v2.5 FC and S603 RX, running PWM mode (not PPM)

Can you give any information on the distance when this mostly happened?
Which version of Deviation(nightly) did you use?

There were no patterns as when the dropouts would happen. I saw it happened only few meters, tens of meters and worst case was about 150m when my quad dropped and i couldn't regain control.
I have been using the latest [hexfet]protocol_combo version.

Yes, the S603 is a bad piece of hardware, even the R615X is better.
Tested today....the LNA seem to do more harm than good.

BTW... used the lastest nightly.
