Please help, no throttle was created by Solly
Hi all.
Please can someone help me out.
I'm new to all this but got myself a Devo 7e and installed the deviation firmware.
I have bound to a devention dx601.
I have no throttle. Everything else works. Rudder, ailerons, elevator, lights. I have even set all to 50% movement on activating the fmod switch.
When I switch on the Devo 7e and then power the receiver, the bind will only happen when I move the throttle to minimum. I'm happy with that. The speed controller then beeps. However when I then try to power up, nothing.
The throttle works if I rig everything back up to the standard ares receiver and transmitter so it's got to be a setting on the Devo 7e somewhere?
Sorry if this is long winded. I've only used rtf stuff before and I'm utterly lost.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Do you mean the rx601? If so, then what is it connected to?
If not, then can you provide information on it?
At a wild guess, it sounds like your ESC isn't initializing properly. Could be a lot of reasons for that.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I've tried putting servos in place and running off a separate power supply and yes, I think you are right. The servos work fine.
How do I calibrate the ESC?
I've tried turning the radio on at full throttle and setting it to minimum after the beeps, but no joy.
It's an ares AZS1410-15-Amp-Brushless ESC.
Sorry for this being off topic. The last speed controller I used was a mechanical one off a servo!!!
Thanks in advance

Have tried extending the end point of throttle?

Thank you, sorted it. Defo something with the ESC. Not quite sure what I did, but it's all working. Was something to do with calibrating it, won't mess with it now. Just gotta set the fail safe in the morning.
I'm very impressed with the deviation software though. Got all the options I need. Thank you for sharing it.
