Devo 7e, Deviation 4.0.1, HT8

For some reason my HT8, which has worked flawlessly with Futaba 6J to fly the HFP80 V2, absolutely refuses to recognize the Devo 7e.
I charged the HT8 battery, connected the HT8 to the DSC port, powered on both boxes, F/J/W led green, Signal led red. Press the small button to change the F/J/W, nothing happens, led stays green all the time.
Tried with a more recent HT8 never used before, same result.
What else can I do?

I did that, now am able to set the mode led in the HT8 to Walkera (led off, right?). But in REVERSE config option, channels are identified by AUX1, AUX2, AUX3, AUX4: what do they correspond to? I tried some combinations, but never got all of them right.
