Hello,
Do you think that this module has the same functions as the original?
Strange, he has no shield to.
Thanks for your help.

It does not have Power Amplifier, so it's short range only.

This one is even listed in "official" Deviation Module List, albeit under different name: www.buychina.com/items/2-4g-module-cyrf6...m-module-uuruunslkhi
It has PA and described here: bitbucket.org/PhracturedBlue/deviation/wiki/ModuleList

Thank you, fine, I had completely forgotten this Deviation folder. But without shield, it will not cause interference?

I have replaced my stock CYRF module with the one for Devo 8/12.

I was wondering is there a way to enable different TX power settings in the menu the same way they are available for other modules? For DSM2/DSMX/Devo protocols I only have "default" option available which is the max 150mW setting I presume.

Thanks.

Yes, check hardware.ini file on your Devo - it has a commented out line
; has_pa-cyrf6936 = 1
Remove semicolon in the beginning of this line and you're good to go.

Try turning on has_ap-cyrf6936 in hardware.ini. If that doesn't do it. Set the 0 to a 1.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Hello,
I wanted to remove the Devo 7E module to replace the antenna and put it outside. But unfortunately I strongly pulled the module and I ripped connections from printed circuit. Could you tell me how to do for desoldering the module because you have to desoldering 7 connections simultaneously? That's the next time I take myself a little better !!! :(
Thanks a lot.

One save way is cutting each connection at the RF module just at the edge.
Clean the solder points on the module and cut the connection one by one (dremel or scalpel).
Secure this area with tape if using a dremel......
After lifting the module you can remove the rest remaining parts from the main board, .....one by one, with ease.

Thanks a lot guys. It was actually enabled but set to 0 for some reason. It works as it should now.

Thank you very much for your answer and photo, I would not dare cut the module with the dremel, but I think this is the right solution. Otherwise you would have a picture with the Devo 7E Module removed and replaced with the Devo8 Module / 12. Because I want to see the detail of welds and connections.
A big thank you again for your response.

In the photo I can not see well, but I think all the old circuit is removed even at the connections of the original one, is that it? Because at this place it's pretty difficult to do!

It's set to 0 because the stock 7E doesn't have a PA in it. Or maybe the one it has is so crippled by the power reduction as to be useless.

@saidem I use couple of tricks to desolder such things - solder wick or desoldering bride - it's a copper wick which dries out the solder - after this you'll find out that the module is not that strongly connected. For some especially stubborn places I use Chip Quik - it's a low temp solder which when mixed with blobs of solder your try to melt lowers their melting point significantly and it becomes possible to keep molten many pins at a time. You need to be careful with it - if it goes to unwanted place it will make it melt also. And you need to clean after it with mentioned wick very thoroughly.

I use the pump and desoldering wick, but it is still hard! The problem was with the 7 module connections through the printed circuit and their feed is on the other side. On this side there is the display and you can not drop it because it is welded on two sides and has 18 connections. We must be sure that the connections through the circuit well. But with all your advice it should go now.
Thanks a lot. ;)
