Hi guys,

I check almost every day to see if a new version is available. What can we do to get an update?

Best regards
Dirk

Hi Guys

Just to Echo what others have already said, the Nightly builds ceased building in June ? Was this deliberate or has a cron job stopped ?

Almost every day..... Sorry to ask once again.

if it is not possible to get a new version of the nightlies so maybe there is a way to get the last failure free version?

I tried all actual available versions of the nightlies for my Devo 12S from the download section. At all versions i get a black screen while booting.

Best
Dirk

Try this devo12 build. It's 8 Nov 2018 nightly build, before any massive changes, with updated protocols.

I am hoping the developers/volunteers are just on holiday as it is that time of year as I have not seen a response from any of them except Hexfet for quite a while.

I fear otherwise that perhaps this project has been abandoned.

Just as an FYI, there appears to be problems with the source code. I created the Docker environment as per outlined on the GitHUB page and compiled a build for my 7e and it is having the exact same problem as the out of date versions listed under nightly. Also when I try build all the builds it fails on one of them which is probably why the nightlies are failing. Sadly I am not a programmer so wouldn't know where to start looking for the problem :-(

Try to build from BRANCH_5.X, it's 8 Nov 2018 nightly build, before any massive changes, with updated protocols.

Ok will try but as the docker image automatically pulls from the updated directory I will have to compile natively in my Linux environment. Just hope I have all the libraries. I assume the Makefile has definitions as to which radio to build for ?

I can build it for you. What transmitters do you need?

Thanks Vlad.

7e (normal and 256), 10 , F7 , F12 (both normal and XMS), T8SGv2 and Plus

Are you building in the Docker image or on a Linux platform. I suspect some of my libraries are incorrect although I did follow the instructions on the ARM environment

I will better open new topic at Builds forum and place all firmwares for testing.

I use very old local Windows build environment (open at 2012.11.09). It can't work with current nightly builds, but work with BRANCH_5.0 and BRANCH_5.X.

Thanks Vlad, greatly appreciated. Do you have any idea why this project has all of a sudden gone dead ?

Well, the project isn‘t dead, but there are unfortunately only very few active developers right now. This and summertime with many other things to do might lead to the impression the project is dead. The latest code changes are quite the opposite, while making nightlies unstable, they are the basis for a more robust and future-proof development. Please have patience and help us with testing.

BTW, the missing nightlies are due to rom space issues on devo6 platform and we are looking into different solutions to this.

Glad to hear that and thanks again for your help. Whilst I am also an OpenTX user I am a very big fan of DeviationTX and wish I were in a position to help. Unfortunately although I am in the IT industry I am not a coder but rather a hardware/electronics engineer. My coding ability goes as far as basic shell scripts :-(

You seem to have quite a few transmitters, so you can be of Great help narrowing down the issues. Does none of the remaining nightlies work on any tx? Even after full replacement of filesystem (remember to backup inis)?
