Hi guys:

I'm new here as a writer, but not as a forum reader.English is not my language, sorry for any mistake and many thanks to all for your teachings and for that wonderful piece of software called deviation.

My problem is, in essence, my fault for not doing things right, but that's life.

I am the owner of a 7e devo and when desoldering the original CYRF module I have destroyed some connections associated with it on the motherboard.

To try to fix it, I desoldered the lcd screen and when I have soldered it again, does not work.

The rest of the transmitter works perfectly, but the display does not (as seen in the image).

I think: "with the heat I've damaged the lcd screen", but I'm not totally sure about this as it could also be the MCU.

Since I do not have much money, I would like to repair it and continue learning, because they are not very expensive spare parts.

The original LCD has 18 pins, two for power, two for the backlight LED, one RST and the rest of the used go directly to the MCU.

I have looked for displays 128 * 64 on ebay and this one is very similar:

I have also seen some post in the forum to replace the screen with an oled, but that is too much for my knowledge.

I really appreciate any help.

According to the thread here , it seems a different LCD from the one on eBay.

If tvs20 is correct, the correct LCD is using the controller UC1601. You may test your LCD to ensure it is defective before looking for a new replacement.

Thank you very much, ajtank, for such extensive information. As you say, the ldc controller of devo 7e is UC1601 which, unfortunately, is not easy or cheap to get.

I also have no way to check the one I have, but I have returned to the original firm devention and I have reinstalled the original libraries and the result has been similar: points without order on the screen, although placed in different places.

I imagine the signals from the MCU arrive to the lcd, but the screen interprets them chaotically.

When desoldering it I suppose that it has received more heat than the one that supports and that is why it has failed since between the exit of the MCU and the entrance of the lcd there are no electronic components.

I have seen that it is possible to replace the lcd with a 4-pin oled display:

www.ebay.es/itm/Display-OLED-0-96-Blanco...d:g:FjAAAOSwgZ1XsDQQ

(The user sadsack did it)

www.deviationtx.com/forum/3-feedback-que...vo7e-replacement-lcd

I found a screen that is compatible, but I have no idea how to connect it:

www.ebay.es/itm/Modulo-Lcd-Grafico-2-1-1...Tutoria/301052582832

I would appreciate any help because for me, what is really important is to learn.

Thank you very much again.
