Google "F3 EVO Brushed Spektrum" and you will get a bunch of good reviews and tutorials. These little controlllers are a gas with the Devo!

I have successfully bound and flown my new E010S/DSM with my devo 7E. I'm fairly new to the hobby but I managed to figure some of this out. First of all, the manual is as clear as mud, especially when you are new at things like cleanflight, betaflight and baseflight. Also, they are poorly translated from chinese to english. Add in the fact that my instructions that came with the copter were telling me about a bind button but there is no bind button on my board.
Having said all that, Connecting to the board in Cleanflight gave me problems at first. It wouldn't give me anything but a CLI because my firmware was too old. So I did a dump of the settings and after some handy research I upgraded the firmware to the latest with this image.
github.com/cleanflight/cleanflight/relea...2.0.2_SPRACINGF3.hex
This board is also compatible with baseflight, which had no problems connecting so I used baseflight to flash the above firmware. After that, cleanflight had no problems giving me the GUI but it still wasn't configured and I still had problems with binding, or so I thought. It turns out that I was binding, but I couldn't arm it so it wouldn't fly. Blah Blah Blah, lots of youtube videos later and experimentation, I got it to fly. I will continue to try to tune this but as I said, I am new not only to devo but to these software configuration applications as well. But these files that I am attaching will at least get you in the air. You'll notice in the model config file that the fmode switch is configured for horizon mode but it doesn't work because I didn't do the configuration in cleanflight to match it. That'll be another day. I hope my efforts help some others. I'm attaching two files. One is my dump from cleanflight which you can copy and paste in the cli and save to your board, and the other is the model.ini file from my devo 7e.
Note: After you bind it, flip your hold switch to 1 to arm the motors. Then you are ready to fly.
