I posted an icon for the XK120 back then sometime, too. Search for K120 and you'll get a lot of stuff.
Happy Flying!

Anyway, so there is a bit of luck involved to finding the right freq adjustment. I just wanted to be sure the 4-in-1 was working right.

1. Setup Fixed ID to 123456 (not sure if it must be 123456)
2. Setup course frequency (-50? I found 25 in some threads, seems need to try out)
3. Switch off transmitter
4. Insert battery to K120
5. Press bind button until red lights off
6. Switch on transmitter

First, the "123456" fixed ID is a placeholder, and in general should be changed.
Second, yes, adjusting the frequency is specific to your transmitter chip (the CC2500 on the 4-in-1), and the adjustment may be completely different or even unnecessary. It took me few tries to find the right setting.
Other than that it's good to go.

Deal57 wrote: Well, it worked great with my 6s, so I tried to bind with my 12e and it took me some time. The bind button is on the control board (you cant miss it), press and hold til the red light is off. My 12e with the 4-in-1 board worked once I adjusted the coarse freq to -50. I still need to figure out the best center for that but it did the re-init and all the controls respond. But of course now my 6s isn't bound.

I cannot make it bind after trying the course freq from -70 to 70 with a 10 step. What am I missing? I spot that you mentioned the best center, how it will affect binding? About how long will it take to bind once I switch on the transmitter?

I just rebound my 6s -- it was previously bound to my 12E. I left the fixed ID (set to some other than 123456) and checked the fine was at 100. Powered on the K120, then hold button until red light is off. I used the GUI on the 6S to adjust the fine from 100 back toward 0 and at about 20 the blue light came on! I ended up using 0 on both fine and coarse. One thing... I had the transmitter about 6" from the heli using 30mw power setting during this operation... when I tried to bind the 12E again, I had to get close and set the 30mw power. It seems to fly fine on 10mw (in my garage), but apparently binding is more sensitive.
Hope this is helpful.

Looking at your sequence I would make a few changes (for the safety of yourself and others, remove the blades before this procedure)
1. Set up the model in the transmitter with a fixed ID not 123456.. I used 17046, xmit power to about 30mw.
2. Choose the S-FHSS protocol and set the fine and coarse to 0
3. Set your heli within about 20-30 cm 8-12" of the transmitter
4. On the K120, plug in the battery, wait a moment, then press and hold the button until the red light goes out.
5. On the transmitter click on reinit. If you get a link, great, otherwise you need to adjust the freq.
6. In my case I was able to use the arrows on the fine tuning bar to adjust 20 or so at a time, leaving everything turned on, and just pausing momentarily.
When the blue led lights up, you have bind. I then powered off the heli and tx, and powered on the tx, then heli, and everything was working correctly.
The linked threads discuss how to center the frequency for most reliable operation.
