Devo6 problem to go back to walkera devention

After successfull test deviation on my devo6 i would go back to devention firmware.
After upgrade the firmware and upload the library i got a wrong displayed background.
The tx is functional, objects (boxes, icons and so on) displyed over the background but not cleared before actualized.
Any ideas?

What do you mean by 'not cleared'?
what background do you see?
Have you run a 'verify' on the library after uploading?
As far as I can tell the Devo6 I have on loan works exactly as expected after reflashing the Deviation firmware and lib.

Verify ends with 'Verify successful !'
The background shows like one interprets a textfile as bitmap (some stripes with pixels in different colors)
With 'not cleared' i mean that for example the timer value is not deleted and the next value is drawn over the old value,
same as you write characters with a pen on the same place again.
Or if i choose the system menue then the icons are displayed over the last screen content and on exit this menue the icons are allways shown.

Sorry for my bad english.

That is weird. Download the library from the tx and send it to me.
Also try to re-upload the original firmware.
which one are you using?
are you using the Devo6 or Devo6S firmware?
is it 10mw or 100mW?
I used FW 0.6A and lib 0.3
without issue.
Even if you have a Devo6S, you might try 1st upgrading to the regular Devo6 FW to see if it helps.

Another thing to do would be to get the STMicro Dfuse tool:
www.st.com/internet/com/SOFTWARE_RESOURC...T/SW_DEMO/um0412.zip
you can use it to download the lib and config (but not the firmware)

You can provide that to me too.
Once you've done that, if you are using the FW 0.6A dfu and none of the above works, you can upload these lib and config files (using the above STMicro Dfuse tool, not the Walkera one) and see if it helps. They are captured from a working Devo6.
Using these files should ensure there are no vestiges of Deviation left on your Tx.

Re-uploaded the firmware serveral times (different versions)
My actual version is FWD v0.5A and Lib v0.3
It is a 100mW devo6 with installed telemetry upgrade modul
Tried also regular FW (not S-type) without success

I will now try the STMicro DfuSe tool to download the lib.

Edit:
Uploading the Lib v0.3 with STMicro DfuSe has not solved the problem.

I have now upgraded to FW v0.6A and uploaded your Lib and Config.
Verify was successful for both.
Problem not solved.

Might get you nowhere but did you try uploading the library first then the firmware?

Hmm...well...have you tried to remove the battery, then plug-in and re-upload dfu?

If you go back to deviation, does it work properly?
My guess is that the root bitmap is corrupted and that the devo firmware is unable to read it and so aborts without redrawing. The thing is that those images are stored in flash, and you've uploaded a new flash, so I don't understand why.
The other possibility that I see is that is that the dfu itself is corrupted, but if that were so, I'd expect you to see other issues.
If deviation still works, we know that the lcd itself is fine (which it appears to be anyhow, otherwise you wouldn't be able to draw to it.

Can you please send your firmware and config (as downloaded from the STMicro DFuse tool)? I want to verify that they really do match.

Upload or upgrade?
It is very important, because in that tool upload means saving from the tx to the pc...

My meaning was write the library first on the Tx, then the firmware (I suppose the way it's labeled in Dfuse would be upgrade indeed).

Removing the battery I have tried.
Deviation works fine.
With Walkera Devention I have flown my heli, its works normal except the screen.

I have used several Walkera firmware versions and the coresponding libs without succces,so I think the images are not corrupted (in the file) and the verify was also ok.

How can I download the firmware and config from the tx?

use the dfuse from stmicro. select 'choose...' in the upload section and type a new filename. select either library or config in the listbox. press 'upload'.
repeat for both 'Library' and 'Config'
zip the 2 files and attach to a post here.

Ok, so you are fully functional?
If so, can you document exactly what you did?
I want to generate an FAQ for issues like this so that people don't panic.
Maybe with screenshots just to be sure :)

But give me a little bit time for that.

Thank you very much.

Since my Devo6 is now completely ok again with your help
I describe here how the problem arose and how to solve or avoid it.

My approach was the following:

Installation DEVIATION:
- TX off, TX on with EXT pressed
- Upgrade FW (used my build from snapshot d44742f64ed5) with Walkera devention DfuSe USB Upgrade Tool
- leave DFU Mode
- --> Screen shows Message:Filesystem could not be mounted. Create the FS via ...
- Message ignored, TX off, TX on with EXT pressed simultaneously
- Upgrade Lib (deviation-lib-devo8-1.00.dfu) with Walkera devention DfuSe USB Upgrade Tool
- leave DFU Mode
- --> Screen was complete black now
- TX off, TX on with ENT pressed simultaneously (to reach USB mode)
- format USB-drive
- copy filesystem (from my build) to USB-drive
- ENT pressed
- DEVIATION is installed and works properly.

Going back to Walkera Devention:
- TX off, TX on with EXT pressed simultaneously
- Upgrade FW (in my case DEVO-6 FWDT v0.5A.dfu) with Walkera devention DfuSe USB Upgrade Tool
- leave DFU Mode
- --> Screen was scrambled now
- TX off, TX on with EXT pressed simultaneously
- Now, I made the fatal mistake!
- I UPLOADed the Lib
- (selected the file in the file explorer wich corresponded with the ---firmware and ignored the message that this file already exists.
- So I overwrote the original Lib with something from the DEVIATION installation.)
- leave DFU Mode
- --> Screen was scrambled as before ( shure, the Lib was not upgraded)

- I think I repeated this step with multiple lib versions and ruined it all
- Later UPGRADE with VERIFY (with the ruined libs) always reported everything was ok (shure, compared the ruined file with upgrade of the ruined one )

- Then I posted my problem here and got help quickly.

- Having UPGRADED with a correct lib (provided by PhracturedBlue) and everything worked as expected.
- I used to the STMicro DfuSe tool which PB suggested
- Today I have everything reproduced several times and was able to produce full function (original libs used).
- I have the STMicro DfuSe tool no longer required for that.

Resume:
1. Deviation lib install does not work for me by DfuSe tool
So create filesystem viar USB

2. Be shure to have choosen UPGRADE not Upload to install FW, Lib, Config
(Use Upload only to save Lib or Config to your PC and choose a meaningful filename for the uploaded file)

3. Upgrade only with correct files
(Hint: size of uploaded Lib files is 4.033KB, original walkera Lib files are smaller)

Thank you all who helped me here.
