t8sg v2 plus Blanc screen after firmware update

Hi all, this is my first transmitter ever, and i had problems with the configuration of the switches. I thought that upgrading the firmware to 2019-12-06 : deviation-t8sg_v2_plus-v5.0.0-83b0755.zip. Now after the upgrade after start up, i get a complete blank screen an a two tone beep.
i tried flashing all the nightly builds in the download list for t8sg v2 plus, but nothing happens.
When flashing to the firmware of the V2: deviation-t8sg_v2-v5.0.0-83b0755.zip its boots up normally.
Hope you guys can help me. i have been waiting two year to get in to the sport so this is frustrating and disappointing.

P.S. Ilive in Suriname south America and the sport is practically non existent here, so i can't get help from locals.

Did you update the transmitter files in USB mode after you flashed the new firmware?

Yes every time, even formatted a couple of times

i think you right, when i taught all v2 plus were oled. let me try again.

That's why I ask your firmware version, because since I changed it my problems started.
First I use Dfuse to put the file, then change to Usb and place the 11 files. The Dfu and zip file do not include them.

This just happened to me as well. I just purchased the carbon t8sg v2 plus and updated the firmware using the t8sg v2 plus file. This causes the lcd screen to have black streaks and not usable. I thought I was losing my mind and had bricked the receiver. After finding this post I used the t8sg v2 update file (not plus) and it fixed it.

Deviation dev team please fix the t8sg v2 plus firmware update file to accomodate lcd not oled

USB is not recognized.
So I can't reinstall the firmware.
I want to know how to hold the USB driver.

Was the screen like that before the update? that looks like a physical damage but it might be fw.

According to him you have to use t8sg-V2 firmware, but what version?
Could you send the file you use in your jumper carbon?

Your screen looks exactly like mine did when I upgraded FW using the plus version. I used this version and it fixed the screen.

@starleas the usb link from the controller is not the same windows driver needed to connect the update tool you show in your screenshot. This video will show you how to fix that.


Also, I would like to thank vlad_vy for originally pointing out our problem. The firmware listed for the t8sg v2 plus was built for oled but we have lcd. Therefore must use the firmware for the t8sg v2 only.
