version 1.1.1 giving me a blank screen! was created by magic_marty
when i try updating to the latest version i have to try several times to get it to load and after it does and i leave dfu mode my screen is blank..i can go back to the 1.1.0 version and its fine but the 1.1.1 version for some reason is not working for me...any ideas on what i might be doing wrong? or any ideas on what i should try?

All info about update from previous version described at Release Notes v1.10. Do NOT copy the 'models' directory. If you do, you'll lose all of your saved models!

i did the file system and its still giving me a blank screen when i leave the dfu after upgrade to the 1.1.1

i copied the models to but i saved a back up of my models on my laptop...

My own 1.1.1 build works for me, but I cannot try the posted dfu at the moment.
Try to download it again, may be the file is corrupted...

(EDIT: it should not be, because there is a CRC check in it, but still worth a try)

Something going wrong. Try formating the file system and do new copy of file system.

Shutdown Tx, press 'Ent' button and switch on Tx. Next, open the 'Removable Drive' in Windows explorer, format the 'Removable drive' and copy file system. Do not copy the 'filesystem' directory itself.

tried the upgrade again after the error and it upgraded but after leaving the dfu mode the screen is blank and i have to unplug the battery to get the tx to turn off...this is after i formated the file system...currently there is no file system on the tx...

ok here is what i did....
1 formated the drive and loaded the 1.1.1 file system
then i powered off and powered back on in update mode i used the dfsu tool to upgrade to the 1.1.1 firmware and when i clicked "leave dfu mode" the screen flickers and goes blank and i can't power off unless i unplug the battery...so i unplug the battery the turn back on in dfu upgrade mode and use the dfsu tool to put the 1.1.0 firmware back and the tx works again...

i downloaded the 1.1.1 dfu again and tried upgrading and it does the same thing...blank screen :(

I thought I fixed that.
This download menus software is making me unhappy. I think I fixed this for real this time, but the zip file wouldn't uncompress if the file was corrupted, so that isn't it.
can you press-hold ENT while bootup? Does it show 'Entering USB mode' (or whatever), and does it connect to your PC?
Strictly speaking you don't need the new filesystem for 1.1.1 teh only changes are to the model.ini files which you probably don't want.

I've confirmed that 1.1.1 is broken on the Devo8 though it works fine on the Devo6. This is the 1st time I've seen this issue, builds are generally very reliable for me.
I've removed 1.1.1 until I figure out what is going on.

Further testing shows that 1.1.1 is a complete dud. I'll have to figure out what I broke, but that will take time and I don't have it right now. sorry about that.

1.1.2 is up and should be working. I tested both the devo6 and devo8 dfus successfully.

Thanks a bunch...i upgraded to the 1.1.2 and it works well...i had to reboot my laptop cause the crazy walkera dfsu tool kept crashing and giving bad sector errors but after a reboot it installed first try...:)

thanks again to everybody for all the hard work and for sharing this incrediable firmware its the greatest !!
