Are you sure about walkera 2601 protocol ?

I try desperately to run my 4G6S with my hacked devo 8s. In 2601 protocol, if i try 120 ° swashplate, nothing is normal. Rudder is good but that's all ! Throttle is mixed by throttle stick and left position of ail. stick !
Anyone tried this protocol ?

Normally, the 6ch heli template is good for the 4G6S but don't work...

First you should make sure there is no CCPM in the rx, so use a simple 4ch template (or the default state) to see if you move one channel (for example the elevator), the two other servos don't move. (If they do, you don't need the CCPM in the tx, so use my 6ch heli template posted here instead...)
If they don't move, than load the 6ch CCPM heli template, set the swash type to the appropriate one (can you check what swash type did you use in your 2602/2801?).
Now see which servo does what, when you move the elevator?
Which is doing good, which is not?
Or try the pitch: all of them should move in one direction. If not, some should be reversed.

With a 6ch simple config i have this :
Ele -> Ele only
Ail -> Ail only
Thr -> Thr + Negative pitch servo
Rud -> Rud only
Gear -> nothing
Ch6 -> Thr + Positive pitch servo
When i say that's not normal...

I think 2601 protocol is not a normal 1ch to 1ch protocol.

i just received my Devo 8S today. I bought it, because i read it can be modified. so here i am
i also have a 4g6s with a rx2610s-1 receiver and i think i got it running, but i have a problem with one of the servos, it does not move correctly, but i'm not sure, if it's a hardware problem or not.
so, i will attach my current config, it should also work for you. i couldn't really test it, but the servos move correctly. maybe there is reverse needed on the rudder.
please tell me, if it works for you, especially if the right servo behaves somehow strange.

i have tested your model config. I have a problem on the pitch servo, when the throttle stick is near the middle position, the pitch servo is doing a small jump.
And i have no throttle on this config, i think it's about the safety value.

that "servo jump" is my problem as well. so it could be some protocol problem. i also tried with a different servo and have exactly the same issues.
i also can confirm your "no throttle" problem. i didn't test the throttle yesterday, but it seemed fine (checked via channel monitor).
i tested some more right now and it seems that something is messed up with the channel mapping. cyclic 3 should be on channel 6 (according to my wk2801pro) and throttle on channel 3, but it looks like both are mapped to channel 3 somehow, nothing happens when binding some control to channel 6, but on channel 3 both, throttle and the servo, are responding.
can anyone confirm this?

The 6ch heli template should do that. You only have to set the protocol and the reverses properly, and a gyro channel, if there is one, like you have on ch5...
However I don't know what is the difference between setting the reverse on the channel page or in the heli swash settings...

i started with the 6ch heli template, but it did not work as expected, so made a new one, to figure out what's wrong.
The problem is, that both, channel 3 and 6 on the receiver side react on channel 3 from the tx and absolutely nothing happens on channel 6. this only applies for the 2601 mode. i'm pretty sure now that's some bug.

edit:
am i getting it right? is packet[6] just channel 6 as in 2801 mode? if so, it's always zero and so is channel 5.
