E-Flite Blade 120SR (RTF) - WALKERA devo 10? was created by stein@office-center.no
HI
I've just bought me an E-Flite Blade 120SR.
Looking for a radio to use with this heli and which could follow me up along more advanced helis as I progress in skills. I do heli-rc just as hobby.
The walkera devo 10 seems as a good radio at low price.
Would You recommend Walkera devo 10 with deviation software og should i rather go for the Spectrum dx6i as everyone recommends?
Thanks.

So far I'm pretty happy with 3GX with Spektrum satellite on my Devo10 running Deviation.
I've never had dx6i, but heck so far Devo10 works just perfect to me. I have my Devo10 flying 4 birds - CX250 clone, Trex250 DFC, v120d02s, and MiniCP. With 1 of them running DSM2 Spektrum modulation.

I own a Devo8s and fly Blade mQx and Nano CPx (and a couple of Walkera helis and TRex-clones with spektrum-compatible receivers) and I am glad with this combination. The Devo10 seems to be a real good tx (I was blended by the color touchscreen of the Devo8) and it should work with the Blades like mine does.

And the firmware upgrade is free as far as I have found...??

If you can post, you can upgrade!
Honestly, it was upgraded faster than I could crash my first CP... and that didn't take much time either
Good luck!

Got my Devo-10 today. Installed the deviationtx firmware. Did some adjustments - and everything worked pefectly!!! Immediatly better control compared to the radio which came with the Blade SR120.
Next step is to read up to understand the parameters better.
