Tom Z Build & Gyro Settings In A Master CP was created by gapi
I have been in touch with Tom Z and he says he no longer used Deviation FW and cannot help me more So I need to ask more here.
My FW is a Nightley Build 2/25/13.
I have attached the file. Its a model he put together for the Mini & Master CP and some othersothers.
He has the Gyro gains set to 82 and says they are the same as the Walkera FW as in 82 is 82%.
I had some tail motor issues making my heli spin out of control and was looking at the Gryo settings and did a check on them.
The check was to set it to 50 to see if the Gyro disabled as it does in the Walkera FW. Walkera does this so one can do setup with out the Gyro in the mix.
It did not disable when I took Tom's 82 down to 50. I set it to 0 and the LED on the RX began to blink indicating the Gyro was not enabled. If I set it to +1 it stops blinking. So 50% for the Walkera RX Gyro is 0 in Toms build - Nightley FW version.
Tom argues his 82 is 82%. But really it seems to be 64 if the 82 X 2 = 164 - 100 = 64.
But if I set it to 0, then how does it = what the Walkera RX sees as 50% ?
Thanks

Walkera uses 0..100% for the gyro values, so you have to convert them to -100..+100% scale in deviation...

0.82 x 200 = 164, -100 = 64
0.50 x 200 = 100, -100 = 0
So yeah "0" should equal 50%? Not sure where your issue is with the last bit?

The figures work if you times the percentage by 200 then subtract 100;gapi wrote: Tom argues his 82 is 82%. But really it seems to be 64 if the 82 X 2 = 164 - 100 = 64.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.

When I made the template I didn't know you had to convert the walkera gyro gain of 0-100% to deviation scale of -100..+100% > Value x2 -100
I put 82 in the deviation settings thinking it was the 82% for the walkera
gyro setting when it should have been 64.
I have deleted my models on this site to make the gyro gain correction.
Also I just made a new template and this time I didn't use the virtual channels.
I will upload the new file after I test it out with some helicopters.
Rambosmurf, you will need to convert the walkera gyro gain value over to the deviation gyro gain value for the templates you posted that my template was used to customize.
