Devo 10 with A7105 range problem was created by sublime
Hi,

I just soldered my A7105 from Aliexpress to my Devo 10. I used this tutorial:

Flysky/Hubsan/turnigy module with pics : devo 8S

I am using Deviation 3.0 and activated the A7105 in the tx.ini. I tried to bind the Devo with my V929 but it won't work. Also everytime I push "bind" or "re-init" in the model configuration the Devo just freezes completely. :( I have to remove the batteries to shut it down.

Anyone has a suggestion what went wrong?

So just a short update. I tried Deviation 2.1.1 and the last nightly build (v3.0.0-fd346b). With this versions the Devo binds with the V929 and also doesn't freeze anymore, when I push "bind" or "re-init".

But now there is another problem - the range. Even on 150mW I sometimes only get about 3 or 4 meters of range. I read this could be a problem with a fixed id that is 6 characters long, so I changed to 1111. Unfortunately this only helps occasionally. Sometimes the range is totally ok, sometimes it's just about 3-4 meters again. So in my opinion the fixed id isn't the only thing that influences this problem.

Did you wire "RXEN"(PIN8) to GND?
If not , please try it!

It seems like this fixed the problem. But as this was just occasionally I need to do some more testing to be sure. :) Whats the meaning of RXEN and GND and all the others? Is there an explanation anywhere? I also connected PIN9 with PIN1. Is that right?

Thank you so far! :)

XL7105-D03 manual :

RXEN must be set to "0"(GND) when it was at transmit mode,if it turned to "1"(Vcc)it would be at receive mode.

Documentation should be updated because that's what Gents will read when installing a module ;)
