Devo 8S + Phoenix = Not working correctly was created by PatrickN
Hi there,
another totaly noobie have some questions to this nice transmitter.
So i get a Devo 8S and a little nice MiniCP a few Days ago. After some crashes i decided to train with a Sim first.
I got a USB Cable from a Friend to test if it works.
But it doesn't.
Phoenix recognize my Devo 8S, but with no Setting i tried so far i get a good Setup for flying a Helicopter.
Most of the Time the Chanels are mixed around.
On my Transmitter i put Gas, Pitch, etc. on Channel 1-4 and turn every mixing function off.
Phoenix show my Channel 1 is Pitch, Channel 6 is Gas, and so on. Some channels dont even work.
Do i something terribly wrong, or should i get a new USB-Interface, or is the Deviation Software not working propperly with Phoenix?
Greeting from Germany
(Sorry for my poor english!)

Welcome Patrick,
it seems you have installed deviation - or are you running the stock firmware?
Phoenix is a simulator often used and I have read some threads where it works good.
Take a look at these threads:
devo10 on phoenix
support for phoenix
8s with phoenix

Yeah, im running Deviation firmware.
i tried some of the configs yesterday, but nothing really works for me.
also it seems that every time i start phoenix my channels are back to where i startet, even when i save it as a new transmitter.
i try to make a more detailed post today when i am at home.
Do i miss some settings to do before i connect my trasmitter via PPM?

Patrick, are you using the Phoenix supplied PPM to USB dongle or the USB HID interface (eg a normal USB cable)?

Im using a PPM cable i get from a friend.
Seems that my Setting were crap.
I installed the firmware, i resetted all settings and calibrated the TX in Phoenix and now im fine.
Dont do anything other as the first time, but now it works.
