Bind procedure for WASP Nano BL was created by Dawiev
Hi, what is the correct bind sequence / steps for binding a Devo 7E with a WASP Nano BL please ?
Devo 7E with XL2500-D03 and CC2500 set to "1" and "A13" (connected to TMS). Protocol set to "Skyartec" and Fixed ID = None.
I select bind in the profile and plug the battery in. The heli plays its tune, LED flashes, goes off and then a few beeps. I've pressed the little button on top of the receiver board, but no effect.
Devo works with other protocols (Walkera and Blade)
What am I missing please ?

Thank you for the reply !
Still not having any luck. Soldered in a new module (to be sure). Tried both TMS and TCK, with corresponding A13 / A14 - no difference.
Here's the details :
Switch Devo on. Model Setup menu.
Switch heli on. Jingles, series of beeps - 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, then short jingle.
Press RX bind and then bind on Devo. Red LED keeps flashing. Tried to press RX and Devo bind at different stages of heli power-up with no change.
Any ideas please ?

Hi, I've tested to make sure I get 3.3v between pins 1 & 6 and 10 & 6. Checked and seems no dry soldering joints. Labels on the module matches the installation guide.
Attached are both the tx.ini file (using TCK pin) and the model file.
Cannot get it to bind for the death of me ...........
Any advice and help much appreciated !

Sorry to be a pest, but I'm desperate please.
I'm grounded, as I don't have another TX.
Any ideas, or procedures I can use to test / fix ?

For the module you use I did not find any info about a power amplifier.
Have you tested with
I am actually not sure if it will make any difference or if only the power select box is disabled.
Have you tested with
enable-cc2500=A14
has_pa-cc2500=0

I was also having a problem binding my Wasp Nano cpX. Re did my hardware soldering a few times on the cc2500 module I scavenged from the Nasa 701 tx, thinking I must have messed up there. Followed the steps outlined above and it is now binding. Also edited the tx ini to power amp 0. Thanks for the steps!

Hi, thank you for the replies. Eventually got it to bind with a Skyartec module and power amp = 0.
Although my soldering skills (complete lack thereof !) must have had a lot to do with it, the bind procedure supplied above did the trick. Thank you.

what do you mean edited tx to power amp 0? can you send me the module? or just show me how to add that into the .ini? like how is it formatted ??

ooo i figured it out. At least that i needed to edit the tx file. ive got that, but im still not able to bind. I actuallt soldered in the xl2500-do3 modulewhich from what i understand is a generic version of the cc2500-pa. Did I hear inncorectly? or do i need to enable that specific kind of module? or will enabling cc2500-pa cover my module as well?

I don't think the setting of the has_pa setting in tx.ini will have any affect on the Skyartec protocol unless you are using nightly builds. I only implemented Tx-power controls yesterday for the CC2500 protocols.
Jack: They are referring to editing the tx.ini file (assuming Deviation 4.0.1) to add:
has_pa-cc2500 = 0
in the 'modules' section.
This would disable the power-amp control and maximize output power (if the code in 4.0.1 supported it, which it does not)
