 Hey guys, I can't seem to get any of my devo rxs to bind with my 8s. I did get Flysky, DSM2 and a Tactic SLT, but no luck with the devo rxs, 6 or 8 channel ones. I must be doing something wrong.

Probably you need clear 'Fixed ID' in your Tx. Also, probably you need reset 'Fixed ID' in your Rx.

I tried clearing the rx and not using the fixed id. I don't understand. I tried Devo, 2801, 2601 and 2401 with no luck. I even tried to use the bind plug with no luck. I don't believe there is anything to do with the FW.

Take a look in your tx.ini - there was a build where the config lines for the modules were damaged. Correct is:
[modules]
enable-cyrf6936 = B12
has_pa-cyrf6936 = 1
enable-a7105 = None
has_pa-a7105 = 0
enable-cc2500 = None
has_pa-cc2500 = 0
enable-nrf24l01 = None
has_pa-nrf24l01 = 0
(with the additional protocols enable by replacing "None" with the corresponding output line)

I think it's not a case, as he can bind with DSM2 and Flysky.

As vlad_vy said, I don't think it's a problem with the code. I don't know how to do a bug, I tried last night and all I was able to do is make an account of my own. I couldn't post on PhractuedBlue's bitbucket. I have plenty of Flysky,DSM2 rs's, but I bought almost a dozen Devo rx's and it stinks I can't use the original protocol rxs. If anyone has any advise, I'm all ears. Thanks.

Have you tried to reinstall 4.0 (or 4.0.1)?
Did you start with a new model?
Could you post your tx.ini and modelXX.ini and let us have a look?

Hey guys, I reinstalled 4.0 and also 4.0.1 with no luck in getting any of my Devo rxs to bind. I did bind somemore Flysky and DSM2 rxs and it went fine. I also was able to put in a bug issue, hope I did it right. Right now :) it's not a big deal, weather not cooperating and all. I appreciate everyone's effort in trying to get this figured out for me, I don't know if anyone else has had this problem or not and if they found a solution that worked.

perhaps you should double check your added module installs, as the issue is most likely there

:woohoo: Hey everyone, SUCCESS! I opened up the Tx and re-checked everything like HappyHarry suggested. I found a spot between pins 3 and 4 on the Devo chip where I soldered. It looked like I may have joined those two at the base with just alittle solder. I scraped until I could see no more solder. Tried it again and got an 8 channel and 6 channel rx to bid right off with clearing the rx and the id and to the Devo protocol, not any below that. I will try the others, but am happy that I got it to work thanks to you guys and your suggestions. I really do appreciate it. :cheer: Thanks Everyone. B)

Yes I can, as I said before, I appreciate everyone's generosity here. I have always been told that most problems are solved by something simple. But we always make it a bigger problem than it is, just like this. I would never have thought to take another look at the wiring/soldering I did. Thanks again everyone, time for lots more fun.

just for future reference please include all pertinent info in your forum posts, if i'd not read your bitbucket issue i wouldn't have known you'd done any module additions, and i wouldn't have thought to suggest looking there for the problem :)

It was obvious, since he wrote that FlySky and Tactic SLT worked...

yeah but what wasn't obvious is that the problems started right after he added the modules, and that he had just done said module additions.....

:P Guys, it's not a question weather or not I posted enough info or what I posted implied I had done any mods or not. It is the fact I had a problem and all of you helped me figure it out and fix it. Many thanks to all of you. B)
