frsky DHT-U in DEVO 8s? was created by Roland68
Hello,

it is possible the FrSky DHT-U module in the DEVO 8s be connected?
Maybe instead of the module CC2500?

It looks like it uses PPM-Out, so you just plug it in to the trainer port. I haven't actually tried it so you'd want to make sure that is actually the case.

I had not found a way telemetry equipment to use on a Devo Transmitter.
If this works so easy, it would be a simple and cheap way to use the FRSKY telemetry receivers and sensors with the Devo transmitters. Or are there problems?

The DHT-U module should with the ACCST receivers also have a very high range.

I think the module itself displays telemetry? The description isn't very clear, but PPM-Out is a one-way signal that lets the Tx control the module. there would be no feedback. I'll likely get Telemetry working on the Frsky protocol (with the CC2500 module) before I release the next Deviation version though.

I have since found out that it works by PPM, and is already used in many current and old transmitters of all companies.
The DHT-U displays all telemetry data from all sensors, and can even save the data in the current version. Also, a voice output is possible with an additional module.
The DHT-U can attach up next to the antenna and then the telemetry data well in view without having to look so far away from the model down.
