Devo 8s with Heli-X sim possible? was created by SLMcc
I have a Walkera Devo 8s Tx running the Deviation firmware. I bought the FMS cable linked on Heli-X website. The cable works with my Phoenix model profile in FMS but does not work in Heli-X. It doesn't show any input.
Anybody have a similar setup working? What do I need to do?
Thanks for any ideas!

Take the USB cabel that comes with the TX.
Heli-X 4.2 & 5.0 works great with DEVIATION and USB.
EDIT:
RTM ..page 58, 9.16 >USBHID.

Huh, I tried the USB before I ordered the cable set. It didn't do anything. Do you have to put the Tx in USB mode?
I'd try it but I'd really like to get the regular cable to work. The USB is really in the way on the 8s.

When I tried that Heli-X said it didn't find a controller.

You first have to setup one controller, I assume Windows, in system/ game controller....

Maybe that's it. Its been ages since I've had a joystick hooked up. I'd still like to get the regular cable working as the USB connection makes holding the Tx awkward.

Solution to that problem, mini usb adapter,90 degree left...
that`s the way it works on Devo7E (port is upside down !)

Boy do I feel dumb!
I didn't calibrate the TX in Heli-X. I just found out how to do it. On the controller configuration screen if you click on the Sticks box it brings up a calibration screen. I had never clicked on that box. I'd clicked on the Buttons and Keyboard ones but when you close them it just goes back to the main screen so I didn't click the Sticks box. Click the Sticks box, calibrate and off it goes!
Geeze, what a computer newb I feel like!
