Devo7e new module was created by johnboy
Hi this my first post, I've started the 7e range mod, ( took hours to remove lid) only to find that the part to be shorted is too small for my old eyes to see. Before I try to finsh the mod, can I replace the module with a compatable one if I make a mess of it.Thanks for any help.

Ditto on the old eyes... And a magnifying visor can help! If you mess up the built-in CYRF module, i don't think it is easily replaced. I did all the other mods first, to get the hang of working with these tiny parts, and I used the electric paint approach, so no soldering or scraping... Of course your mileage may vary...

Hi Deal57, thanks for reply. I've been waiting for some conductive paint to arrive so I can do the mod with that. It arrived in today's post so have just put a small amount across the diode with a pin, not sure if I've used enough, not used it before. The instructions say it can take 24 hours to dry,so I'll leave it till Saturday to test. I've now looked at dozens of articles on the mod and module changing but have seen conflicting reports on using the devo 8 update board as a replacement for the one in the 7e, let's hope I didn't need to try it. Thanks again for your speedy reply. John.
