Devo 10 Wall charger? was created by Tomcor
The Devo 10 shows 12v 50ma on charge socket. I am using LD Nimh 2600 mah. Can I use a larger ma charger under 1A? Does the the Devo 10 have a regulated charge circuit in it?

I also have Devo 7e what ma wall charger would be good for the 7E?

Thanks for any help

I bought one of these . Works fine on my 10 and 6s.

The charger requirements on the 10 and 7e are identical, so this will work on both. The 6S wants 200mA, and this was the least expensive wall wart I found that provided that. You might be able to get by with something less expensive since you only need 50mA.

With a Devo7e I would suggest an adapter with not more than 9V.
It´s a four cell tx and the regulator in the onboard charger will
produce more heat with 12V. It works from 7,5V up to 12V.
My poweradapter is a 9V/500mA type and there is only few or no warming during charge. Depends on duration.

The Devo 7E manual saus 12 volts, not xx-12 volts. I'm not even close to being an EE, so I tend to follow the manufacturer. But doesn't the heat depend on power, which is going to be the current draw, not the voltage (again, not an EE, and don't even play one on TV)?

I no longer have a 7E, but haven't noticed any heating on my 6s, which also uses four cells, and four times the power draw.

On the tx the input is labeled " 8-12/ 200mA"...;-)
And the current would be what regulator of the charging circut can handle.

Edit: Where does the additional voltage go? Into heat.

Are you talking about the 7E or the 6S? My 6S says "8-12V/200mA". My 10 says "12V/50mA:". I don't have a 7E, so I checked the manual for it, and the picture of the Tx in the manuals says "8-12V/50mA". Maybe newer (than my manual) 7Es use the 6S circuitry?

I'm again confused. Sorry, just trying to further my understanding. By converter, you're talking about the voltage converter, right? I understand that to high a voltage overheats them. My 6S hasn't had any problems on that 12 volt converter in a year and a half of use, so if the 7E is now using that hardware, it ought to be fine.

While I'm asking questions, I believe I ruined a charger by accidently plugging in the wrong power supply (to }@M^ many power supplies with the same plug on my bench!). While the voltage was fine, the charger wanted 5A and the supply was only 1.5A. The balance ports now read low, and it no longer provides a full charge. Does that make sense?

Skylet wall charger work well. You can search it on amazon by "skylet wall charger" keyword. Hope this helps!
