Does deviation work on the newer DEVO 10E radio?

First post here. Tried a search, and came up with nothing on the subject.

I am considering buying a DEVO 10E radio (100mW extended range unit) and would like to know if Deviation works on it. (I actually found one thread about the 10E, but no real info about whether it works, or not)


Like most Chinese electronics, they don't seem to document anything as they make revisions or updates to their stuff. All of the pictures on listings I can find for this newer radio have no indication of the "E" anywhere that I can see. Considering all of the "borrowed" pics that I have seen for multiple kinds of Chinese sourced product listings, I guess that is no big surprise.

Anyone here tried Deviation on this newer radio?

Yes, it works perfectly.

I guess the next question is, ....is there any actual difference between the model 10 and the model 10E besides the fact that the 10E is white? I am not particularly enthusiastic about it being white, but it seems to be touted as "extended range". (I assume compared to the regular DEVO 10, or is it just another example of Chinese marketing nonsense)

I would prefer to get the black Tx, but if there is an actual range difference, might get the white one. Has anyone done a range comparison between the two different colored radios?

Nothing on the official Walkera site addresses this subject, in fact, they don't even mention a DEVO 10E, it's a DEVO 10 2KM Signal! ...nor do they offer in any other color than white. :-/

The white version seems to have a higher gain antenna and ... nothing else. (I think it's 5db versus 3db).
