Does deviation increase range as well?

Actually it can slightly improve the range, but only for the stock CYRF module, since it enabled the use of 150mW instead of the stock max 100mW.
It effects onty the DEVO, Walkera and DSM protocolt though...

I would say that adding a CC2500, A7105 or NRF24L01 module in your Devo Tx makes an enormous improvement in the range you can get from your Devo Tx for the protocols those provide.

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

Will doing so affect the life of CYRF?

I don't think so.
It is within the specification, not an overdrive.
IMO the output power of the CYRF is only lowered because of the type of the power amplifier used after it...

However it might have an effect on the RF output, since the PA receives a larger signal on it's input, but so far nobody has reported any issue with the 150mW setting.

The CYRF itself is only up to 4dBi (2.5mW)max and the PA is designed for this
power output.
But you will achieve more range with a suitable antenna than with much output power.
