I've just finished installing the NRF24L01+ module. Before that i've installed the official deviation firmware, and the nightly as well. I found a couple syma x5c-1 models and added them too.
I turn on the tx now trying to bind but it doesn't. I have no idea what else i need to do.. what am i missing?!?
can someone please help me get this quad off the floor i am getting insane here...

If your Quad is the old X5C version, you need to enable the Sub-Option X5C under SymaX protocol.

I've been reading your and others posts for the past two weeks and this is my first time trying this. Does it auto bind or do I need to config anything on the tx in addition to the model? How do I make sure it's using the right protocol?
Also, is there a way to check that the nrf module is working properly?

If the symax (or any nRF) protocol in your model has a leading asterisk it indicates a problem with the nRF module.

only thing is when i raise the throttle the quad immidiately banks hard to the right. i tried it with the JJRC H8C quad with same result. Any idea what's causing this? I've calibrated the tx 5 times. Maybe i'm not calibrating it right or does it need a config change?

I don't see your model.ini posted here, attach it if you're still having problems.

Could it be an nrf wiring problem? What else could it be?

Does the aileron channel look correct in the channel monitor? Zero when the sticks are centered and symmetric travel?

checked channel monitor, after calibration --
aileron neutral: -23
left: 35
right: 59
Sometimes i get 60 even, then after a few minutes it changes.
Also, when i push right, the numbers flicker sometimes, they don't stay fixed.
Could it be a soldering issue? Which connection controls aileron on the PCB/nrf module?

The interface to the nRF module is digital - all the channel data goes over the same connection. It's very unlikely a problem there would only affect roll.
