Ordered a DEVO 10, and it's on the way....

FNG here, so please bear with me. I'll try to do diligent research before asking a bunch of n00b questions, but there is so much info here that it makes it difficult to absorb and remember it all.

I have a new DEVO 10 on the way, white and orange (but the price was too good compared to the black one).

My goal is to be able to use it to increase control range for some toy grade quads with the nRF24L01 +PA +LNA module, but, also to use it for some higher performance brushless quads that are not yet built. ....trying to plan ahead, so to speak.

I got interested in deviationtx after viewing a video by SeBy DocKy that showed how to install a deviationtx multimodule v1.3 PCB with attiny24A-PU micro controller to add three additional Tx boards in a 7E or 10. Hopefully, I'll be able to get this accomplished without having a "too painful" learning curve, but I imagine that I will need some expert guidance along the way.

My DEVO 10 White Edition arrived today, .......less than 8 days from China to Oregon in the PacNW.
Got it from Banggood for $121 (plus $4.51 for Expedited Shipping Service 3-7 business days)
For about a month before I pulled the trigger on this one, I couldn't find a black one from a source that I trusted for less than $150 +$15 shipping, ..........but of course, after mine got here today, when I went back to the Banggood website today, they now have the black one available for about the same amount as the hideous white w/orange-trim one that showed up!


So I guess that I just have to suffer with the white one.
Maybe after I deviate it and install the modules, if it was not a huge PITA for me to get done, I could sell it here in the classifieds, get a new black one and start again.

Well, I guess it's on to the deviation and modding for me. Wish me luck!

The withe edition has a better range than the black

From what I heard, the white one only has a higher dB antenna (a 5dB instead of a 3dB, I think) The guts are exactly the same from what I was told.
