I can't even return it back to devention as Walkera have pulled the plug on it.
All I want to do is fly my V120DO2S.

In order to get the answer you need you must provide us with as much info as possible. You'd get more replies if you give more info.
What you're trying to do (fly a Devo model) is the easiest thing to do with our tx's, I'm sure you can get it going but as it stands it seems like you're unwilling to help yourself. Just sayin...
Edit: there's no reason to but you can always return to stock, I've seen the link posted for stock 7E FW just within the last few weeks. Again I'm sure you can get deviation working but at the very least it's not bricked.

If you are using a test-build (Downloads->Test Builds) then again use the protocol folder that comes inside the zip. the key here is to 1st install the dfu, then immediately afterwards install the .mod files

When you turn it on Deviation 4 comes up on the screen all the require files are there yet going through the menu no models actually show up apart from the one I did manually.
It seems the lights are on but there's no one at home!

i down loaded the 4.01 ver for the 7e here
www.deviationtx.com/downloads-new/category/12-deviation-4-0-1#
downloaded to my desk top
and extracted to a new desktop file folder
it contained the dfu file
which was upgraded to the transmitter
using the walkera upgrade tool
every thing went fine for me
the zip file and the .dfu file were deleted from the desk top folder
and this folder was transferred to the transmitter
via usb connection, after the transmitter drive was formatted
turn off, transmitter
turn on
SHEER PANIC
same message you got
searching thru my deviation folder
i found this
deviation-devo7e-cmpang_2013-02-12-3.zip
now i can't find where i got it
it had just a protocol folder
and 2 zip files
i used this protocol file to overwrite the original one
i noticed, it not only replaced some files but added some as well
and bing, bang, boom, everthing worked
btw
i did forget to turn up the range
but set it at 150mw instead of 10mw
the blade nano flew fine

It has model 1 and model 3 assigned as model but nothing else.
Just need a file for a V120DO2 to download onto it.
Thanks.
