Elevon trimming? was created by guytranspo
Hello all.
So I figured out the elevon mixing for my wing, but I have a question about in-flight trimming.
When I trim the elevator from the radio, only one elevon trims. When I trim the ailerons, the other elevon trims. Is there a way to link the control surfaces to trim equally from the radio? I'm using the Devo 10.
Thanks for any help.

It's really much better to physically trim the plane out, use servo savers for easy adjustment.
Otherwise you just have to do it the way you described (at least that's the only way I know). Did you see my elevon mixing .ini file one post below?

Do not ask me questions via PM. Ask in the forums, where I'll answer if I can.

You can use the Model -> Trims page to change what each trim configures. Without knowing how you did the elevon mixing, I can't give precise instructions. But...
The default is to trim the input value of a stick, etc. If your outputs both use that, they should both be trimmed. If you're using Complex mixers, you may need to go back and enable the the use of Trim on the mix that selects the Src you are using (guessing here - I haven't done this).
Alternatively, you can change the trim an OUTPUT channel, That way, you can have one trim trim multiple outputs.
Basically, either post your model.ini file here so we can play with it, or play with it some yourself.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will start messing with it.
Cereal Killer also sent an ini that I will look over.
Again, thanks.

Cereal, does the ini allow both control surfaces to be controlled with the Tx in flight?
In other words, does the Ele trim control both elevons, etc.?

So, I figured it out. In the complex mix, the trim was turned off in page 2. Once I turned on the trim, everything works as it should.
Thanks again for the suggestions.
