FRSKY DJT module + DEVO8S

Hi,

I have question about one think. I must use a FRSKY protocol for one project. I have a Turnigy radio with FRSKY DJT module but radio is in MODE1. I must make a test fly, but I am using MODE2 on my DEVO8S. One short question. Can I connect FRSKY DJT module do DEVO8S?? I thinking about using external 6V power supply (4x1.5AA battery) for DJT module and PPM OUT signal from DEVO. What you thinking about that?? Will be working?? Ground signal from PPM will be connect to the ground from battery.
