Got it working fine on mine
As I realize this statement doesn't help you any (other than letting you know you are not treading a path that hasn't yet been trodden and it is physically possible)

I can attach my config file for the Devo and /possibly/ export something from open pilot?
(though unless your quad is the same as mine it may need a fair bit of twiddling)

I changed motors a week ago - and I ended up going through the whole wizzard again rather than just tweak the motor start points/calibration as I decided to get the latest openpilot firmware and accidentally hit "erase all data" when I did it
Not that its a drama because that wizard is pretty neat, just took a bit more setting up than I wanted for a simple motor re-calibrate! :D

What physical switches are fitted to the TX? (have you added a pair of 3 way switches?) or are you using one of the 2 way switches?

I vaguely recall having to skip a few of the switch setup jobbies as not all are used (only a 6ch RX)
I only used a pair of the 3 ways - to the CC3D
the left hand 2 way switch I use as "kill all motors" with "sticky throttle"
not yet found anything I /need/ for the right hand one (esp as CC3D will never see if due to the limited to 6 RX channels I have) but have considered maybe making it toggle dual rate as I am still pretty rubbish when I toggle rate mode (which I now refer to it as crash mode)

I operate the flight modes from a 3 way switch I added to the TX - which works fine under openpilot for mode switching
I also used the other 3 way switch to trigger the "lost vehicle buzzer" fitted to the copter (used an unused output - ch6- from CC3D to trigger)
Took a bit of reading and faffing but eventually got it to also trigger the lost vehicle alarm should the TX go out of range or get switched off
(obviously as well as cutting all throttle power!)

Regards
Rob
