How can I use my Devo 8s with a simulator?

How can I use my Devo 8s with a simulator? anybody done this? Its a free simulator I am trying to use.

With all deviated Devos you can use a sim that accepts an USB HID device.

Is there away I turn it on in my radio?

You enable it by creating a model with 'USBHID' as the protocol. Then when you select that model, you can plug it into you USB port and it will appear as a joystick to the computer.

Or if you've got a sim that came with a trainer->USB adapter, you can set the protocol to PPM, and then use that just like any other Tx.

Realflight V6.5 works fine in PPM mode. I had the Devo 10 connected to the Realflight elite interlink controller.
I could even use it with Heli-x V6 (interlink) with the latest graphic drivers, which turned off all the rendering problems.

The Devo 10 just works fine with my older Reflex XTR V5.03 version (blue big dongle) in PPM mode.
Even with the standard Graupner USB dongle cable adapter where I last soldered a mono plug onto (Stereo plug before with two cables).
This is funny that Devo 10 in PPM and that cablebecause it had failed with Spektrum DX8 transmitter before.
Reflex V5.03 blue dongles seemed not to be well compatible with Spektrum transmitters for an unkown reason?!?
Reflex had introduced red ( 5.05 versions) dongles and newer small blue flat dongles in V5.06.
Seems that is the way how Simwerk fixed the avobe V5.03 dongle / cable problems.
So just get a Walkera Devo sender and you are fine
