Before I start soldering
My multi-tester indicates a short between Vcc and GND.
Checked and re-soldered 3 times with magnifying glass.
In common sense this cant be good. What could have caused this short?

FYI: mine is this one www.banggood.com/CC2500-PCBA-2_4GHz-Wire...Module-p-922598.html
Pin order (Antenna on top, Components face up)
GND VCC SI SCLK SO GDO2 GDO0 SCn TX_EN RX_EN

But instruction here has different pin order bitbucket.org/PhracturedBlue/deviation/wiki/ModuleList
What must be changed?

And which firmware version is the most stable with best FrSky support?

I'm not sure what it is, but I had the same issue with a ALIExpress CC2500 module that was also the smaller, thinner style. As soon as I connected the Vcc pin the TX would shut down completely. I noticed that the pin order was completely different from a module I obtained directly from Skyartec, so I decided to ditch the AliExpress module.

I recommend using one of these:

or an original skyartec module like this:
