Has anyone got Deviation to work w/ DRL Simulator?

I downloaded DRL Simulator and it recognizes the Devo using USBHID... upon initial load, it had the sticks swapped, so that right stick was throttle and yaw. Left stick was doing nothing. I managed to switch the inputs using the Devo menus, and now throttle and yaw are on the left, but the right stick is doing nothing.

Can someone walk me through how they got theirs to work? I am using a Devo 6s.

Thanks

I just give it a try. It works with follow settings:

channel 1: rudder - reverse
channel 2: throttle - normal
channel 3: none
channel 4: aileron - reverse
channel 5: elevator - reverse

Replied by mellowvision on topic Has anyone got Deviation to work w/ DRL Simulator?
thanks for the upload and tips... I tried both manually entering the set up as listed and installing the ini file. neither worked. If anyone else has a devo 6s and can give this a shot, it would be great to figure out how to get this up and running.

just to be clear - the throttle and rudder work, but the other controls are disabled.

I've got a Devo 10 with a 3-in-1 included. I got it to work with the Freerider sim by plugging an audio cable into the QSC port on the back and using SmartPropoPlus on my Windows machine, but, I can't seem to get the Devo 10 to work with the DRL sim.

Can you explain the steps you went through? I tried using the model5.ini from TomPeers, but I think there are a few steps that I need to follow before loading that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A friend of mine had to create his own ini. file, the one for the Devo 7E didn't work on his Devo 10. I used my usb plug to connect to PC.
With the right model selected on my TX, I started DRL and checked other when selecting remote. Just followed directions from that point.
I will see if he can share his ini. file he created.

Just to let everyone know, I figured out how to get DRL working with a Devo 10 on a Win 7 machine

1) plug in a USB into the back and connect this
2) create a completely new model in the Devo 10
3) set the protocol to USBHID
4) in the Windows game controller settings, make sure Deviation GamePad appears
5) click on properties and choose the settings menu.
6) calibrate the controller following the instructions. Click skip or next if one of the options is not working (e.g. no controller movements changes anything)
7) click apply and ok
8 ) go to DVL and click on the controller settings
9) select "other" as the controller
10 ) follow the instructions and set the controller settings there. Remember to wait for "next" to appear before trying to set the controls. Don't worry if some are reversed as you can invert them at the end of the settings wizard.

I hope that helps!

Can you tell me the process in detail? I'm having some trouble getting any input from the transmitter to the pc. I have a Dell Inspiron 7000 running Windows 10 and it has a single jack for audio and mic. Also I already installed the latest deviation firmware.

I recomend to set up during the DRL calibration the Raw input check, otherwise the throttle has got a 10% dead zone at default.
