NEED ADVISE FOR DEVO 7E chip install was created by Seven5555
I need an alternate soldering point for RED 6 to connect to on the main board because the point that is marked RED is bad. Please see attached picture

Not directly, I don't think so. "red" needs to be to a regulated 5V. If I get it correctly, "VDD" is not regulated.

thank you for your response, does the RED contact point go through to the other side of the main board? i've not taken it out.

The point that I boxed in red will is connected to RED 6. VDD is actually regulated 3.3v.

Just a side note that the 5V supply is not regulated. There is an LDO on the CYRF board. But VDD is 3.3V and unsuitable to drive the CYRF board, so everything else mentioned above should be ok.

Now that its soldered to the RED square in slipstream's pic, (thank you very much slipstream) does that change the hardware.ini configuration from A13?

The point that you soldered was for VBat (specifically +ve battery connection) so it does not affect any configuration setting in hardware.ini.
