I haven't had a chance to range test any of mine yet, I've been flying several craft with them without issues but only used at fairly close range (say ~50m)
I did contact someone on rcgroups from Grayson Hobby, who seem to have direct contact with Redcon, about getting them to work directly with the devs here, they said they'd pass on the request to their boss who had the contact, but I haven't heard anything since.

5.0 release introduces some DSM code protocol changes (comitted to later nightly build) which are a bit unclear if they may affect any F/H/telemetry out of range FlightLog numbers.

Hello, I was asked to test a couple new CM-621's by my guy at banggood.
This is the first preliminary results. Will do more full power range testing next week. These are all proper tests where I set the transmitter elevated slightly off the ground on a wood or plastic platform and then walk with the receiver until control is lost and the orange light goes out. NOT based off telemetry return / rssi output (not a proper way to test at all actually, Taranis taught me that).

Also note, in full power (100mW, I DO NOT USE 150mW) I walked 325m to the other side of a large brick building (a school that surrounded me on 3 sides) and had perfect control.

What do you think causes the poor range problem? What was your setup?

This was with my 7E with stock, but range modded rf module. My computer is having some driver issues and the USB ports are dead so I can't currently test with my 10 (CYRF module isn't installed and therfore I can't turn it back on as the CC2500 is using the stock CS pin). I'm working on it...

I will be doing more testing at my farm this week when it cools off a bit (heat wave right now with heat indexes over 100°F for the past 2 days straight). I expect even better results out in the country. I like to do the preliminary testing here at my house in the city cause of the extra stress on the system from the higher 2g4 band noise floor.

Also note, I was given two rx's and the second rx works considerably better than the one shown above!

these results are great news, i've been holding off on buying any of these due to the initial poor range reports. do you know if they have changed the hardware in the samples you have bud? or are they the same as the ones reported earlier in this thread?

Just going to say that the ones I had bought earlier this year were frankly terrible. I got like 40 metres out of it with my unmodded 7e. I remember my super CP getting a lot better range and going nope I can't use this for my quad :/.

I have a new 6 channel rx with a satellite that I will test soon and get back to you all with.

I thought I had recalled seeing a review number on the boards when I had them unwrapped and was taking good HD pics of then but I looked again (threw the clear Shrink wrap I put on then) and don't see any silkscreen anywhere so maybe in going crazy. AFAIK there's no advertised changes / differences from older ones and I'm not using any of my magic electronics whispering powers to get better range, maybe they just got it together...

I did get my D10 back up and running (computer is still dead ) so now I can test with it too, I'll be doing longer testing asap this week when I have time. Will report back.

My birthday is next week and my birthday present is that my wife will do whatever I want so we're building planes and going flying and I'm gonna use these in the builds were gonna do, I'm that confident in them even before more testing.
