Alternate (U.S. Shipped) source of nRF24L01 Module was created by Flightless Bird
Hey, everyone!
I've read a lot of posts here about modifying Devo transmitters with nRF24L01 modules. The consensus seems to be that the "Banggood" module (with PA and tiny RF connector) is the ONLY good, reliable, non-fake, "Plus" chip module to buy for this purpose.
Being TOTALLY impatient, I am not willing to wait for shipping from China, so I did a bunch of searching and bought a few different modules. I have located an awesome U.S. sourced and shipped nRF24L01+ module, from Amazon.com. Here is the link:
www.amazon.com/Neewer%C2%AE-NRF24L01-Wir...tenna/dp/B00H6ZO5Y4/
This module (Neewer Black) includes a non-fake 24L01+ (Plus) chip, a power amplifier, standard module pinout, articulated rubber ducky antenna, and SMA RF connector. The SMA RF connector is a bit larger than the "micro" connector on the Banggood module, but you can still obtain a short cable extension from many sources if you want to run a cable to the edge of the case for connector bulkhead mount.
Personally... I just located the module directly under and to the left of the existing transmit module circuit board, and ran the R/A connector through the transmitter wall in my Devo-10.
I have tested this module (using Deviation 5.0.0, SymaX protocol, controlling a Syma X8C) out to 300 yards with no issues or LOS. I have no doubt that with a better antenna than the supplied one, I could probably get a mile.
Hope some of you get some use out of this info!

Thanks!
What kind of range are you getting with the internal antenna?
